The National Association of Realtors conducted a survey regarding changes in housing desires since the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the study, Americans under the age of 40 are most likely to say that their quality of life has been negatively impacted by COVID-19, and they also noted a reduced need to live near public transportation. Families with school age children showed an increase desire for detached single family homes with bigger yards. Americans 55 years and older showed an increased desire to live in an area that is walkable.
